Player Bio

A young, fearless opening batsman for the North Middlesex, Joe Cracknell is a professional English cricketer who has been a regular feature in the Middlesex second XI. Just like Ethan Bamber, Joe has also come through the club’s youth system and is touted as the English cricket’s next generation.

The Enfield-born opener was first selected into a Middlesex age group at the age of 10 and was ever-present through all the age groups. Joe had an outstanding summer of 2017 following which he won the Middlesex Young Player of the Year award. One of the most notable performances from him came against Kent U-17s when he smashed an unbeaten 243.

A predominant figure in white-ball cricket, Joe made his senior debut in the Vitality Blast against Surrey on September 14th, 2020. At the start of the 2020 season, he was offered a one-year rookie contract following a string of promising second XI outings.

An exceptional gloveman, Joe registered a maiden century in Middlesex colours during a two-day match against Ireland's Test side in July 2020. A promising youngster, Joe has a great work ethic and is always looking for a room to improve. Still just 21 years of age, the cricketing fraternity is eager to see the young star make a name of himself in the shorter formats.
