Young, talented and hungry! These are the words that can best describe Clint Hinchliffe. An all-allrounder by trait and a superstar by passion, Hinchliffe is a quality left-arm spinner and an equally talented middle-order batter.
Born in Duncraig, Hinchliffe is a pedigree of the Joondalup Districts club. Once he wanted to be an Australian Rules footballer who earned a rookie contract for the 2016-17 season by Western Australia.
The all-rounder has been part of the Warriors team at the 2015-16 U-19 National Championships, where he won the Player of the Tournament. Later that season, Hinchliffe donned the Australian jersey during the U19 World Cup in Bangladesh.
The Duncraig-born has also played for the National Performance Squad in 2016 and Cricket Australia XI against Pakistan in January 2017, before making his Sheffield Shield debut in February 2018.
Following that season, Hinchliffe made his Big Bash debut for Perth Scorchers to play a couple of seasons for them. In BBL|09, the all-rounder was picked by Melbourne Stars and since then he has become an integral part of the franchise.
Hinchliffe has shown plenty of potential in his career so far and he’s tipped to become a quality addition to the Australian team in the years to come.
