Player Bio

Aron Nijjar (Aron Stuart Singh Nijjar) is a 27-year-old English cricketer who bowls slow left-arm orthodox spin and bats left-handed. He varies his pace well and is known to bowl tight lines and lengths. Nijjar can chip in with bat in hand late down the order.

Nijjar represents Essex County Cricket Club and made his first-class debut in May 2015 and his T20 Blast debut in August 2018. He has been a consistent performer over the years. Still, the tweaker has been in and out of the team as Essex has had the South African’s spinner, Simon Harmer and England international Liam Dawson as their lead spinners for a long time now, and he usually fills in whenever the latter is unavailable.
