When Saif Ali Zaib made his debut for Northamptonshire, in 2014, during a non-first-class fixture at Durham, he became the first 15-year-old to represent the county. He is an occasional left-arm spinner who is better known for being a middle-order bat. Ahead of the 2015 season, Zaib signed a three-year contract with Northants and has been with the club since then. 

He made his List A debut for the county in 2014 against New Zealand. The next season, he represented England Under-17 to score three fifties against Pakistan Under-17, in Dubai. When Saif Ali Zaib made his debut for Northamptonshire, in 2014, during a non-first-class fixture at Durham, he became the first 15-year-old to represent the county. He is an occasional left-arm spinner who is better known for being a middle-order bat. Ahead of the 2015 season, Zaib signed a three-year contract with Northants and has been with the club since then. 

He made his List A debut for the county in 2014 against New Zealand. The next season, he represented England Under-17 to score three fifties against Pakistan Under-17, in Dubai. Later that season, he was picked to make his first-class debut in the County Championship Division Two. 

The allrounder made his Twenty20 cricket debut for Northamptonshire in the 2017 NatWest t20 Blast. Two years later, Zaib was called in for the Championship to play a match-winning innings at Derbyshire. After the end of the season, he signed a two-year deal that keeps him at Northamptonshire, at least till the end of 2021.

At 23, Zaib has grown as a cricketer, over the years, he has shown maturity with both bat and ball, which promises that the promising youngster is one for the future, and has all the ingredients to represent England, one day.
