Player Bio

A dynamic all-rounder, Matthew James Lamb is a professional English cricket for Warwickshire County. A right-arm medium-pacer who can swing the ball both ways, Lamb is also known for his pinch-hitting lower down the order. A product of the Warwickshire county, Lamb was a regular for the club since age-group cricket.

Lamb made his senior debut in a Championship fixture against Somerset on September 6th, 2016. A year down the lane, the Warwickshire-born allrounder made his Royal London Cup debut. Lamb rose to prominence after hitting his maiden ton against Essex in September 2019 and nailed down a permanent spot in the Warwickshire first XI.

Lamb was the star man with both bat and bowl when he led Warwickshire to a thrilling run-chase against Somerset in the 2021 Royal London Cup knockout stages. He registered his best bowling figures in List A cricket picking up 4 wickets for 35 runs and then went on to score 92 off 103 balls to clinch a tense win. Still just 25, he would be hoping to build on his recent List A performances to get a breakthrough into the English white-ball squad.
