The seamer starred on his first-class debut against the touring Australians where an impressive pacer claimed wickets of Michael Clarke, Adam Voges, and Peter Nevill. While, on T20 debut, Davis got bashed by the pair of Babar Azam and Fakhar Azam, but bagged Faheem Ashraf’s wicket.

A 19-year-old Davis came to Derbyshire set up through England’s Development Programme, after donning England’s Under-19 jersey. The pacer stayed with Derbyshire for a couple of seasons to grab 60 wickets in 20 odd first-class games.

The Stafford-born shifted to Leicestershire after the end of the 2018 season. Davis saw unbelievable growth after migration and had his most successful summer as he took 29 first-class wickets, in 2019. While the pacer performed really well in the NatWest t20 Blast in 2020, where Leics finished in the quarter-finals.

In 2021, the club would be relying heavily on the seam-bowling of Davis, to lift their first t20 title since 2011, as Davis looks like the one for the future.
