Player Bio

An explosive all-rounder, Brett Hutton is a graduate of Nottinghamshire Academy who bowls medium pace and is an aggressive lower-order batsman. Hutton made his first appearance for the County in 2006 at the u-13s level and gradually progressed into the second XI in 2010 before making his first-class debut in 2011.

Hutton’s first senior appearance came in 2011 against MCC in Abu Dhabi and later that summer, he featured for the England U-19s. After featuring in a handful of matches in 2011 and 2013, he became a regular in the first XI after some useful scores in the seconds. He played in nine matches and took 37 wickets, with the career-best of 5/29 and 10 wickets in the match against Durham in 2015.

After 11 years with the club, the Doncaster-born all-rounder made a shocking move from Nottinghamshire to Northamptonshire after signing a three-year deal with them. Hutton struggled to break into the Notts side at the start of the season, but he finished as the club's leading wicket-taker in the County Championship after getting his chance in the second half of the campaign.

The 28-year old refused to sign a new deal with Northamptonshire in order to return back to Trent Bridge to play for his childhood club. Hutton signed a new deal with the Notts which will see the pacer stay at the club until the end of 2023.
