Player Bio

An energetic all-rounder Dan Douthwaite had a dream run in the 2019 Championship season, where the youngster played with a free mind and scored his maiden first-class hundred against Sussex. He followed it up with a classy 95 against a quality Glamorgan pace attack.

As a 15-year-old, Douthwaite created history when the dynamic player registered the fastest ever hundred in English School Cricket- scoring a 31-ball ton for Reed’s school.

In April 2019, Douthwaite left MCCU and joined Glamorgan County. His wicket-to-wicket bowling and change off pace made him a valuable addition to the Glamorgan squad.

A bustling player, Douthwaite is an explosive all-rounder whose ability to change gears during the middle overs is second to none.
