Born in Norwich, Callum Taylor is a right-handed batsman who plays for Essex in the English County Championship.
Taylor rose through the age-group cricket in Essex and was eventually a part of their second team XI. But due to his electric fielding inside the 30-yard circle, Taylor has played a number of games for the first XI as well.
Primarily a right-handed batsman, Taylor can also chip in with useful medium-pace bowling. He made his Twenty20 debut for Essex in 2015, and a year later was named in the England squad for the 2016 U-19 World Cup.
A busy player, known for his ability to churn out singles, Taylor is a bright prospect and could be a future England star if nurtured well.
