Player Bio

A teenage prodigy, Lucy Cripps is a professional Australian cricketer for the Melbourne Stars. A key member of the Victorian squad, Cripps is juggling between college commitments and playing cricket. At the age of 16, Cripps made her domestic debut for Victoria against the Australian cricket in the 2018-19 Women’s National Cricket League (WNCL) and played a key role in leading them to the u-18 Championship title.

Growing up as a keen footballer, Cripps went with her guts that led her to choose cricket over football. She made her Women’s Big Bash League(WBBL) debut for the Melbourne Stars on November 30th, 2019 against Melbourne Renegades and was retained by the Stars for the sixth edition of the WBBL. However, the next season saw Cripps feature in just one game due to the stiff competition for a place in the eleven.

A truly gifted all-rounder, Lucy has a bright future ahead of her and she would hope to cash in on every opportunity presented to her at the domestic level to fulfil her dream of wearing the Baggy Green.
