A wicket-taking bowler with a knack of breaking up partnerships, Emma Hughes is a right-arm pacer who plays for the New South Wales Breakers in the Women’s National Cricket League.
Hughes idolizes Glenn McGrath and as a result, she took up fast bowling from a very young age.
Her tall stature helps her to generate extra bounce from the surface and that makes her a potent weapon, especially Down Under.
Sydney Sixers were looking for a young fast bowler and Hughes fitted in that mould perfectly. She signed a deal with the Sixers ahead of the 2019-20 season and since then has gone from strength to strength in the T20 format.
