Player Bio

Ben Manenti carries the reputation of a wicket-taker for his local club, Premier Cricket club, where he has taken more than 200 First Grade wickets just by the age of 23. Manenti is a wily off-break by trait, who represents Queensland domestically and plays for Sydney Sixers at the Big Bash level. He has also played for English County Kent’s Second XI.

Born in Sydney, the cricketer’s father was a rugby union player and now a coach for the Eastwood Rugby Club. Through his Italian grandmother, he has the option to represent Italy. He also committed to playing at the 2020–21 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Europe Qualifier, alas the event was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Premier Cricket club product introduced himself during BBL|08 when he claimed excellent figures of 2 for 13 off four overs and was named Player of the Match on his debut. He remained on the fringes of the selections for the franchise, where he shared the spin-attack with Steve O’Keefe.

By BBL 2020-21, Manenti bagged a permanent contract from the Sydney-based franchise and was part of the title-winning team. Now in BBL|11, the spinner will be looking to thump his authority during the T20 extravaganza.
