Player Bio

Born on January 10 2003 in Kerala, Alishan Sharafu is a United Arab Emirates (UAE) cricketer, whose role is of a batter in the team.

Featuring in the first major tournament of his career, Sharafu fared well, smashing 59 and 65 runs in the playoff semi-final 1 and 13th place playoff of the 2020 ICC U-19 World Cup.

He debuted in international cricket for the UAE in February 2020 against Iran, which was also his maiden T20 game. In the same year, he scored 155 runs in an age-group competition, which is his personal best score. After earning a central contract from the Emirates Cricket Board in December 2020, the right-hander featured in an ODI match for the first time against Ireland a month later.

The 19-year-old was the UAE U-19 captain in the 2021-22 ODI World Cup. The side beat Ireland U-19 in their plate final match under his captaincy.

Sharafu has also found a place in UAE's squad for the T20 World Cup 2022 scheduled in Australia.
