Player Bio

At just 15, Hayley Silver-Holmes made her big debut in the fourth edition of the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL). She is a seam-bowling all-rounder who has the virtuoso of turning the course of the game with both bat and ball.

Born in Wahroonga, Silver-Holmes is deemed as the most improved, talented cricketer present in the Australian circuit. She has risen through the ranks and has played at various age-group competitions.

The all-rounder has been on tours of South Africa and New Zealand with the Australian U-19 team. She is also a former captain of the Australian U-15 team and was selected for the youth team at a mere age of 14 years.

Domestically, the Sydney cricketer has been a proven asset for NSW Breakers and Tasmanian Tigers. In her debut WNCL season, the seam-bowling all-rounder finished 2019/20 as the competition’s fifth-leading wicket-taker with 12 wickets at an average of 20. Apart from starring with the ball, she was superb with the bat as well.

Thus far, Silver-Holmes has played 35 WBBL games, across three editions, where she has been marvellous in all three departments of the games. The Sixers have contracted her until the end of WBBL|07, but a hip injury ruled her out of the 2021-22 season.

The 17-year-old all-rounder will be looking to return to the field and become an asset for both her state and WBBL team, before donning the Southern Stars’ jersey.
