Player Bio

New South Wales has produced some remarkable cricketers over the years. One such player is Angela Reakes who has grown as a player in the past few years.

A talented all-rounder, Reakes made her debut in state cricket for NSW Breakers against Queensland Fire in 2009. For the next 6 years, she continued to play for the Breakers and then eventually decided to switch alliances with the ACT Meteors in 2015.

Reakes is a wily right-arm leg break bowler and has the batting talent to take on the opposition bowlers with utmost ease.

After signing for Meteors, Reakes was found guilty of betting $9 on the 2015 Men’s World Cup final between Australia and New Zealand. Luckily for Reakes, she avoided any suspension and continued to play for her domestic side.

Currently, she plays for the Sixers in the Women’s Big Bash League and is one of their key players this season.
