Player Bio

A classy right-handed batter, Corinne Hall is an Australian cricketer who plays for the Tasmanian Tigers in the Women’s National Cricket League and for the Sydney Thunder in the WBBL.

Known for her ability to find the gaps with ease, Hall was inspired by Mark Waugh’s style of batting and as a result, she decided to pursue the game of cricket. At the end of the 2004-05 domestic season, she won the Cricket NSW Rising Female Star Award.

NSW had a strong women’s team at that point in time and as a result, Hall couldn’t find a permanent place in the side. In search of game time, she moved to Tasmania and joined their domestic side.

Ahead of the inaugural Women’s Big Bash League season in 2015, she was roped in by the Hobart Hurricanes in their side. The year 2016 was perhaps the darkest time of Hall’s professional career. She was disciplined by Cricket Australia after she was charged with placing two bets relating to two matches in the Matador Cup. She admitted her mistake and received a two-year ban.

Ahead of the 2021-22 WBBL season, Sydney Thunder decided to select Hall in their squad. Her inclusion will make the Thunder batting a bit more imposing than it earlier was.

Hall has seen a lot of ups and downs in her cricketing career, but she has the ability to rise above them and become a better player. Now towards the twilight of her career, Hall will look to nurture the youngsters.
