Player Bio

Grace Harris is much celebrated in the Western Suburbs and in the Australian cricketing circuit as well. She is a record-setting WBBL batter who holds the distinction of having been the first player to hit two WBBL centuries, one of these was the fastest in the league.

Harris - the powerful opening batter and also a hand off-break bowler which makes her an all-round commodity for the Southern Stars.

Born in Ipswich, Harris grew up in a sporting environment and is sister to Laura Kimmince, a fellow Heat member. She has been representing her state from under-15’s onwards which saw Harris excelling in the senior squad.

By 2014, the all-rounder became a regular of Australia A, later earning a call-up to the international squad for the 2015 Ashes series in the place of injured Delissa Kimmince. In August 2015, she made her T20I debut against Ireland. The following year, her ODI debut came against the touring Indian side.

The Ipswich-born has been associated with the Heat franchise from the inception of WBBL. In the maiden edition, she made 103 runs from 55 balls, and also took four wickets, Sydney Sixers, thus drawing much early attention. A couple of years later, Harris bettered the feat by notching another WBBL hundred, this time off just 42 deliveries.

The powerful all-rounder has been a regular for her franchise Brisbane Heat and the state Queensland, but her main mission would be to don the green and gold, again.
