Born in Clare, South Australia, Ellie Falconer is a gifted young cricketer who plays for the Melbourne Renegades in the WBBL.
A right-arm medium-pace bowler, Falconer progressed through the South Australian State System and was often praised for her smooth bowling action and impeccable line and lengths.
Her talent was quickly recognised and she was invited to train with the Striker during the 2016-17 WBBL season. Eventually, she went on to earn her maiden WBBL contract with the Strikers ahead of the WBBL season 3.
Things didn’t go according to her plans as Falconer failed to grab her opportunities and eventually she signed a three-year deal with the Melbourne Renegades ahead of the seventh edition of the WBBL. Despite being a part of the Strikers’ squad since 2017, Falconer was hampered by injuries and is yet to make her WBBL debut.
Still relatively raw at the moment, Falconer has a golden opportunity to impress the Renegades team management. A fearless fast bowler, the seventh edition of the WBBL, Which commences from October 14 2021 provides a great platform to showcase her skills.
