Player Bio

Laura Kimmince has a rare quality of clearing the boundary fence with ease. A middle-order batter who is known for her six-hitting ability, Kimmince represents Queensland Fire and Brisbane Heat.

Born in Ipswich, Kimmince grew up in a sporting environment and is sister to Grace Harris, a fellow Heat member. Her domestic career began in the 2016-17 season of the Women's National Cricket League for Queensland state. However, even before that, she was signed by the Heat franchise for the inaugural edition of Women’s Big Bash League.

In the first three editions of WBBL, the Ipswich-born didn’t get many chances to showcase her due ability, but it was WBBL|04 where the world saw the prowess of Laura Kimmince. That season, she scored 141 runs off 12 innings at a whopping strike-rate of 143.88.

Since then, Kimmince hasn’t dropped a single beat. 2019-20 was equally rewarding for the clean-hitter and in WBBL|06, she finished third on the sixes chart with her strike-rate over 200.

In 2021, the Brisbane based franchise re-signed Kimmince and the Ipswich-born would be looking to help the team lift her maiden silverware.
