Player Bio

The nephew of the former Australian legend Tom Moody, David is a professional Australian cricketer who represented Cricket Australia XI before getting his first chance in first-class cricket when the injury-ridden bowling department of Western Australia ran out of sorts.

David made his first-class debut against a star-studded New South Wales team in the 2014-15 Sheffield Shield on February 25th, 2018 and struck 6 wickets in what turned out to be a phenomenal debut for the youngster. After an impressive debut season, he earned various call-ups from multiple invitational sides before being selected to play in a warm-up match for the Aussies prior to the 2015 ICC World Cup.

The 26-year old pacer scalped 3 wickets against Bangladesh in a warm-up game but didn’t get an opportunity in the main event. Prior to the eighth edition of the Big Bash League (BBL), David signed for the Hobart Hurricanes and featured in 5 matches in his debut season. Yet to make an appearance since his debut season, he would be looking to bounce back in the upcoming edition of the BBL.
