Player Bio
A left-arm medium pacer from Rae Bareli, Uttar Pradesh, RP Singh returns to the IPL after the 2013 season of the tournament and will now represent the Rising Pune Supergiants. The swing bowler first made headlines after an impressive performance in the 2004 ICC U-19 World Cup in Bangladesh. Having performed consistently in the domestic circuit thereafter, he got an India call-up in 2005 and went on to win the Man of the Match award on his Test debut against Pakistan in 2006. But, injuries and inconsistency in performance caused him to fall out of favour with the national selectors. The Purple Cap winner in IPL 2009, RP Singh has played for Deccan Chargers, Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore in the previous editions of the league.
