Player Bio

Initially a backup bowler and the identical twin of Mauritius Jonkman, Mark Jonkman is a professional cricketer for the Netherlands national team.

Jonkman made his domestic debut against Pakistan A in a List A fixture in April 2006 and the same year in December, he got his maiden callup to the senior team in a fixture against Canada but went wicketless on his debut. Initially included in the 2007 World Cup squad, Jonkman suffered an injury that saw him out of the squad for a couple of years.

Jonkman bounced back to pick up his maiden five-wicket haul against Scotland in an Intercontinental Cup fixture in 2010. In August 2010 he was suspended from bowling due to a suspect in his bowling action which was found to be illegal. After the suspension, Jonkman failed to return back to international or domestic cricket again.
