Player Bio

A classy top-order batsman, Craig Williams is a professional Namibian cricketer who made his first-class debut long back in 2007, in a three-day South African Provincial Challenge match against North West. On his debut, he scored his maiden half-century in the first innings in the drawn match.

After 11 years of consistent performances for Namibia, Williams decided to retire from all forms of cricket in February 2018 and a year later he made an impressive return to Namibian cricket in the 2019 World Cricket League Division two. With Namibia gaining the ODI status after finishing in the top 4 of the tournament, he made his ODI debut against Oman in the finals on April 27th, 2019.

Since his return after retirement, Williams has been a consistent performer for the Namibian side and earned a spot for the 2021 T20 World Cup. At the age of 37, he would be hoping to fulfil the opening role for his side in the upcoming years.
