Player Bio

Hailing from Trinidad, Anderson Phillip is a right-arm express bowler for the West Indies national team. Known for his pace and accurate yorkers at the death, Phillip’s white-ball skills earned him a Trinbago Knight Riders in 2016 when he was just a teenager.

The pacer made his first-class debut for Trinidad and Tobago against Guyana in March 2017 and has never looked back since. With some solid performances for the U-19 Trinidad squad, he gradually came up the ranks and earned his maiden call-up in the limited-overs series against Sri Lanka. The Trinidadian made his ODI debut against Sri Lanka on March 14th, 2021 but went wicketless in a resounding victory.

Anderson Phillip alongside Jayden Seales and Ali Khan make up the backbone of TKR’s bowling department. With just one international fixture under his belt, he would be hoping to make a mark in the shortest format in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) to earn a callback to the national squad before the T20 World Cup.
