Player Bio

Another talented cricketer who has risen through the Australian age-group cricket, Cameron Valente is an Australian cricketer who plays for the Adelaide Strikers in the Big Bash League.

An all-rounder by profession, Valente has also represented Australia at the 2014 U-19 World Cup. A right-arm medium-pace bowler, with an ability to chip in with useful runs, Valente has risen through South Australia’s Under-23 setup.

The skilful all-rounder made his first-class debut for South Australia during the 2015-16 Sheffield Shield season. People started taking note of him during the 2016-17 Matador BBQs One-Day Cup, where he took eight wickets and also registered two List-A centuries.

On December 26, 2016, he signed a contract with Perth Scorchers as a replacement for the injured Jason Behrendorff.

Eventually, he hardly got any opportunities with the Scorchers and shifted his base to the Adelaide Strikers ahead of the 2019 Big Bash League season.
