Player Bio

A crafty wrist-spinner, Liam O Connor is a professional cricketer for the Adelaide Strikers. The 28-year old started playing cricket at a young age and was part of the U-17, U-23 State team of Western Australia. After being given a rookie contract from WA for 2015-16 domestic which was elevated to the state-contracted player.

Liam was added to the Striker’s squad for the sixth edition of the WBBL as a replacement player for Jon Holland and immediately made an impact, featuring in every match that season. The leggie earned his maiden first-class cap against New South Wales and started his Sheffield Shield career with a bang, registering a fifer on his debut.

An accurate spinner and a popular member of the Striker’s squad, Liam was retained by the franchise and currently remains a player to watch out for in the upcoming seasons of Big Bash League (BBL).
