Player Bio

A left-handed wicket-keeper batsman, Jake Doran is a professional Australian cricketer who represented Australia in the U-19s before going on to make his first-class debut for Tasmania against Western Australia.

One of the most promising players on the Sheffield Shield scene, Doran was added to Cricket Australia’s National Performance Squad for 2017.  After a string of impressive performances for Tasmania in 2017, he was named in the Sheffield Shield Team of the Year by Cricket Australia.

Doran signed his maiden Big Bash League (BBL) contract with the Sydney Thunder and featured in just one game in the entire season. After three seasons with the Thunders, Doran joined Hobart Hurricanes prior to the eighth edition of the BBL. With just 3 games under his belt for the Hurricanes, the 24-year old southpaw would be hoping to make the most of any opportunity in a competitive Hurricanes side.
