Player Bio

Stephan Parry is a Manchester-born left-arm spinner who has represented Lancashire for more than a decade, while he got the honour of donning the England jersey during the 2014-15 season. Debuted in 2007, Parry was named as Lancashire's 'Young Player of the Year' for the 2009 season and the highest wicket-taker for his team during the 2015 T20 Blast.

Parry had been on the fringes of national selections, throughout, he was picked by England Lions for List-A and T20 tours in 2011, even played a handful of limited-overs matches for his national team. However, he hasn’t been fortunate enough to cement his place.

Starting from the Minor Counties Championship, the spinner moved his way up to play for First XI. After performing regularly in the domestic circles, Parry was selected for the World T20 of 2014. Later in 2015, he made his international debut against the West Indies at Antigua to bag figures of 3 for 32. It followed up with a T20I debut against the same opposition, before playing three more games against Netherlands and Pakistan. Despite having a fantastic T20 Blast season, the national selectors sidelined Parry from the 2016 T20 WC.

In 2020, Parry decided to end a 16-long relationship with Lancashire, after becoming the club’s all-time leading wicket-taker in T20 cricket. The left-arm spinner has taken up a coaching position at the Thunder to train Manchester's women's team before he decides upon his further career.
