Player Bio

Born in South Africa, Eric Szwarczynski moved to the Netherlands at a very young age and before making his senior debut, Szwarczynski has represented the Oranjes at the U23 level.

A right-handed batsman, Szwarczynski is a fine timer of the ball and it was his consistency that caught the eyes of many people. The Gauteng-born played for the Dutch youth team before gradually progressing to the senior side in 2006.

He made his ODI debut against Sri Lanka in 2006, scoring just 10 runs in the game. Two years later, the talented batsman made his T20I debut against Kenya and scored a quickfire 28.

Szwarczynski was part of the Dutch squad for the 2014 ICC World Cup Qualifying campaign. In the two matches that he played in the tournament, Szwarczynski scored back-to-back fifties and made quite a name for himself.

Post-2014 he has not represented Netherlands in any of the competitive matches.

A player with exquisite timing, Szwarczynski never really fulfilled his position at the international level.
