A skilful leg-spinner and a handy batter, Rishad Hossain is an emerging talent of Bangladesh.
Hossain made his domestic debut for North Zone in the 2018-19 edition of the Bangladesh Cricket League, wherein he scalped two wickets in his only appearance.
The leggie plied his trade for Rangpur Rangers in the 2019-20 edition of the Bangladesh Premier League.
He was part of the Bangladesh Emerging team in their home series against Ireland Wolves.
In the 2021 edition of Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League 2021, Hossain scalped four wickets and contributed 50 runs for Khelaghar. He then took a total of six wickets in the subsequent edition of the tournament, playing for Walton Central Zone.
In May 2022, the 20-year-old was a part of the BCB XI team against the touring Sri Lanka A team.
Hossain was named as one of the reserve players in the Bangladesh squad for the T20 World Cup 2022.
