Player Bio

A right-handed batsman, and a right-arm medium-pace bowler, Danny Lamb is a handy allrounder who has risen through the age-group cricket of Lancashire county in England.

Having made his debut for the Lancashire academy team in 2012, Lamb went on to represent the second XI of Lancashire in the very next year and quickly made a name for himself in the domestic circuit.

He signed his first senior professional contract with Lancashire in 2017, and made his List-A debut for his county team against Nottinghamshire, scalping 2 wickets and bowling at tight channels.

In the very next year, Lamb finally made his much-awaited first-class debut for Lancashire against Worcestershire. The allrounder became the first concussion substitute in first-class cricket in England, when he replaced Joe Mennie who suffered a suspected concussion after being struck by a straight drive from Martin Guptill.

During a 2021 County game against Kent, Lamb scored his maiden first-class ton, slamming a majestic 125 on a tricky wicket.

A player with great potential, Lamb has been impressive so far for Lancashire, ever since his senior debut in 2017. A good 2021 domestic season could potentially see Lamb being considered for a place in the England national side.
