Player Bio

Thomas Alexander Lammonby is a batting allrounder who plays for Somerset in the English domestic circuit.

He made his T20 debut for Somerset against Kent in the 2019 T20 Blast. He picked up a solitary wicket in the match as Kent won the match convincingly.

A year later Lammbonby made his first-class debut for Somerset against Glamorgan and played a gritty knock of 41 in the first innings of the match.

The Devon-born's breakthrough moment arrived in the 2020 Bob Willis Trophy final against Essex. Injuries plagued the Somerset side, and Lammbonby was drafted in the playing XI at the last moment. He responded to his inclusion with a sensational ton against a good quality pace attack.

The Somerset batter also scored centuries in the final two group stage matches against Gloucestershire and Worcestershire.

Still young at the moment, Lammbonby has a great temperament and it was evident in his classic knock against Essex in the Bob Willis Trophy final. There is a long road ahead for him and Lammbonby will look to do well in the 2021 domestic season to earn a place in the national side.
