Player Bio

Harry Brook is an emerging talent hailing from Yorkshire who first grabbed the limelight by smacking a century against Essex. Brook was England’s flag bearer during the 2018 Under-19 World Cup and the only English captain to register a ton in the tournament, after Alastair Cook.

The Yorkshire-born made his First-Class debut against Pakistan A in 2016 at Leeds. However, he earned deserving recognition during the 2017 season when he made his Championship debut against Middlesex. The top-order batter celebrated it with three consecutive centuries within a span of a fortnight.

Before his success in the domestic circles, he toured India in early 2017 with the England U-19 team for two Youth Tests and five Youth One-Dayers. Later that year, Brook was appointed as the skipper of the English U-19 team to host the visiting India U-19 side.

The following year, Brook captained the English U-19 team in the World Cup of 2018. The skipper was in fine nick throughout the tournament as he scored 39 runs at an impressive average of 119.5, including a century against Bangladesh. However, the young batsman was left out of England’s final fixture for disciplinary reasons.

Post the Junior World, the staggering batter scored his first List-A century against Essex at Chelmsford. Brook backed it with another three-figure score and then showed signs of consistency when he averaged 43.00 in the County Championship.

The youngster continued to impress in both shortest and longest format as he played some vital knocks for Yorkshire in the 2020 season. In 2021, Northern Superchargers signed Brook for the inaugural edition of 'The Hundred' and his talent promises to be great things for the franchise and later for England.
