A right-arm medium pace bowler with an ability to generate extra pace off the surface, Arshad Iqbal is a skidy kind of a bowler who made his international debut in April 2021.

He made his List-A debut with WAPDA in the 2018 Quaid-e-Azam One Day Cup, and prior to the tournament, he featured in the Pakistan squad for the 2018 Under-19 World Cup.

After leaving a good impression on the selectors with his domestic performances, Iqbal earned his opportunity and was quickly drafted in the T20I squad for Pakistan’s tour of South Africa and Zimbabwe. He did not feature in the South African series, but finally made his T20I debut against Zimbabwe, picking up a solitary wicket in the game and going for just 16 runs,

Ahead of the 2021 Pakistan Super League season, Iqbal was roped in by the defending champions, Karachi Kings.

Another fast bowler produced by Pakistan, Iqbal’s skiddy bowling is deceptive at times. The young pacer has impressed everyone in the domestic circuit, and now it’s time for him to continue that performance and become a better bowler at the international level where things tend to get tougher.
