Player Bio

Regularly clocking in excess of 140 kmph, Nagarkoti has risen through the ranks of U19 cricket in India. Born in Barmer, Rajasthan, Nagarkoti came into the limelight on the back of raw pace and impressive seam movement produced in the 2018 U19 World Cup.

The pacer was fast-tracked at a very young age and was a regular in the U14, U16 and U19 teams. His ability to bowl the outswingers made him a special talent.

Nagarkoti made his List-A debut in the 2016/17 Vijay Hazare Trophy, and in a game against Gujarat, the pacer took the first ever hat-trick for Rajasthan in List-A history.

Picked up for the U19 team to tour England, the young fast bowler emerged as the leading wicket-taker with 14 scalps in the two Youth Tests.

Impressive performances in the English summer earned him a place in India’s squad for the 2018 U19 World Cup. He was sensational in the tournament, picking up 9 wickets at an average of 16.33, to help India win their fourth U19 world title.

Ahead of India’s tour down under, Nagarkoti was one of four additional bowlers picked to travel with the Indian team.

At the IPL auction in 2018, the speedster was roped in by Kolkata Knight Riders for INR 3 crore. However, things didn't go according to the plan as Nagarkoti was ruled out of the tournament due to injury concerns. The following season, he was retained by the KKR management, but again did not feature in the tournament due to severe back issues.

KKR trusted him for the 2020 season, and this time around Nagarkoti played 10 matches, but could only scalp 5 wickets in the entire tournament.

A young promising fast bowler, Nagarkoti has all the tools to be a successful pacer for the Indian team. He has a very good outswing that has the ability to trouble any batsmen in the world. Consistently bowling at around 140 clicks, Nagarkoti has impressed the likes of Ian Bishop among many others. He needs to sort out his fitness issues if the speedster wants to prolong his career.
