How many cricketers can boast of hitting six sixes in a professional cricket match? Not many and let alone hitting it twice. Yes, you heard it right, youngster Lalit Yadav holds this unique record of smashing six sixes in an over on two separate occasions. Born in Delhi, the young talent smashed sixes in all six deliveries of an over in a T20 match at Najafgarh Sports Complex, while playing for the Sporting Club. His monumental knock of 130 came off mere 46 deliveries, which were studded with 9 fours and 13 sixes. Riding on that special knock, his team thrashed the opposition bowling them out for 75 runs. Meanwhile, he had also smashed six sixes in an over during the DDCA T20 League at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi.

On the back of some impressive performances in these tournaments, Lalitwas fast-tracked into the Maharashtra squad where he scored a fine half-century in his debut innings and went onto smash two more in his next three innings which suggested the fact that this youngster is a man for the future.

Ahead of the 2020 IPL, Yadav was snapped up by the Delhi Capitals for his base price of Rs 20 lakhs. He didn’t manage to break into the playing XI but given his talent and the sort of form he has been in the domestic circuit, 2021 could be the year when he makes his IPL debut. The Delhi-born cricketer is a reliable off-spinner as well and has a decent record to boast of, in both domestic and List A cricket. He doesn’t bowl that much in first-class cricket but his ability to bag wickets in crucial junctures makes him a match-winning option for any team. He lends the ideal balance to any team and can play the big shots as well. He will look to make a mark for DC in the 2021 edition if he is given a break in the playing XI.
