An upcoming cricketer for Pakistan, Abdul Nasir is a pure all-rounder who bats dominatingly in the middle-order and is a wicket-taking off-spinner. Hailing from the Quetta region, Nasir has been representing Quetta Gladiators at Pakistan Super League (PSL) since 2020.

The Quetta-born all-rounder is a product of tape-ball cricket and his transition to hard-ball came when Nasir was in School. Soon, he started representing Quetta under-16 and then under-19. However, the big turn came when he was picked for his region’s under-23 side where Quetta Gladiators’ scouts saw the allrounder’s prowess.

In 2018, a 20-year-old Nasir made his debut for Quetta Gladiators Academy during the Ramadan Cup. The all-rounder had two successive majestic seasons in the T20 tournament, where he was the dreamboat for his team. Hence, a PSL contract wasn’t too far.

During the player draft ahead of 2020, the Quetta-based franchise picked the all-rounder for the fifth season of the Pakistan Super League. Nasir made his league debut against Islamabad United, but he didn’t get any more opportunities that season. Since then, he has been with the franchise and absorbing experience with the likes of Sarfaraz Khan, Faf du Plessis, and Ben Cutting.
