Player Bio

Hailing from Wrexham, Roman Walker is a tall, lanky seamer who plays professional cricket for Glamorgan. He was capped by England at the u-19 level before breaking into the senior side of Glamorgan.

The Wrexham-born seamer shot to prominence in age-group cricket despite not having been in Glamorgan’s Academy only 12 months prior to making his international debut at the u-19 level. Walker made his bow for England in South Africa at the back end of 2017 and did enough to earn a place in the World Cup squad.

Walker has been playing cricket since he was 11 years old and infamously hit the winning runs in Glamorgan's highest ever List A run chase on his county debut. After being a regular feature in the second XI of Glamorgan, he was awarded the second XI Player of the Year award and he backed up his performances when given a first-team opportunity.

Walker has an impressive skill set, with plenty of potential to improve as he grows into his career with Glamorgan. The upcoming years are set to be the breakthrough years for him, and we can’t wait to see him taking wickets all-round the county circuit.
