Kiran Carlson

Kiran Carlson became an overnight sensation when the explosive right-handed batsman became the youngest player to score a first class century for Glamorgan- at 18 years and 119 days. 

However, it was on his first class debut for Glamorgan, where Carlson surprised everyone with his gile and off spin bowling on a relatively dry track at Northampton. Carlson bagged 5 for 28 on his debut to completely rattle the opposition. 

2018 was more of a breakthrough year for Carlson who toyed with bowlers for fun. He even showed his attacking prowess in the T20 Blast that summer, when he slammed 58 off 32 balls in a win at the Oval in 2018. 

But his form fell dramatically in 2019 and the attacking batter failed to register a single half-century in the whole summer and was eventually dropped from all formats of the game.

The slump continued in 2020 as Carlson scored just 109 runs in the Bob Willis Trophy and just 23 runs in the T20 Blast.

A lot was expected of Carlson when he made his Championship debut for Glamorgan. However, he failed to replicate his domestic season and faded into darkness very quickly.
