Player Bio

Another upcoming talent from the famous Worcester academy, Dillon Pennington is a right-arm fast bowler who possesses the raw pace and impeccable line and length required to be a successful fast bowler in international cricket.

Not only is Pennington a cunning bowler, but also a hard-hitting lower order batsman who has the ability to chip in with quick runs towards the back-end of the innings.

He signed his first professional contract with Worcestershire ahead of the 2018 season. Pennington had a decent debut season, picking up 22 wickets at an average of 35. However, the lanky pacer garnered praise from the cricketing fraternities for his raw pace and bounce.

Prior to his domestic debut, Pennington was also added to the England squad for the 2018 Under-19 World Cup.

Pennington’s ability to pick up wickets and constantly clock over 140 clicks has made everyone his admirer. Even the likes of Morne Morkel has stated that he was “blown away” by Pennington’s potential.
