Player Bio

A right-handed batsman with the ability to bowl gentle medium pace, Ed Barnard is a product of Worcestershire academy who thrives under pressure situations.

Hailing from a proper cricketing family, Barnard’s father and brother both have played List-A games in England.

Arguably one of the most talented all-rounders in English circuit at the moment, Barnard represented England in the 2014 Under-19 World Cup. He finally made his breakthrough and was handed his first class debut cap for Worcestershire against Hampshire in 2015.

But, it was the following season where Barnard really blossomed. The young all rounder grabbed 47 wickets in the county season, and also had a batting average of 36.25.

Following that season, Barnard was rewarded with a three-year deal with his childhood club.

One of the most talented players to have come out of the Worcestershire academy, Barnard has been a revolution in first class cricket for his county side. His ability to chip in with quick runs and the knack of picking up regular wickets has made him a special commodity in the team.
