Player Bio

One of the raw and young talents produced from the Stamford School, Joey Evison is a professional English cricketer for the Nottinghamshire County Club and has also been a regular feature for the u-19 English squad.

A genuine seam bowling all-rounder, Joey is the most recent product of the Lincolnshire development, making his first-class debut against Warwickshire in September 2019. He also made his England u-19 debut in the summer of 2019 and impressed one and all with his all-round performance. The Peterborough-born all-rounder equalled the record for the fastest fifty off 18 balls at the u-19 level to equal Rishabh Pant's effort in the 2016 World Cup.

Joey started his 2020 campaign with a high note featuring regularly for the Notts in the Bob Willis Trophy but a foot injury disrupted his entire season. One of the rare talents frustrated by the lack of playing time, Joey became the first-ever player born in the 2000s to represent the Notts. At the age of 19, the all-rounder will have ample time to showcase his skills at the Trent Bridge.
