Player Bio

Touted as the future England captain by many pundits, George Balderson is an English cricketer who plays for Lancashire County in England.

Balderson signed his first professional contract with Lancashire in 2018. A year later, the right-arm medium pacer was made the skipper of the England Under-19 squad.

He captained England U19 to the finals of the Rising Stars Tri-Series final in Antigua in 2019 and finished the tournament as the highest-wicket taker for his side, with 15 scalps under his belt.

Impressed with his captaincy style, the ECB decided to name him the captain for the 2020 Under-19 World Cup. He made his first class debut for Lancashire in the 2020 Bob Willis Trophy.

An exciting prospect for the England team in the near future, Balderson is a player to watch out for. His game reading is impeccable and many pundits believe that Balderson has what it takes to captain the Three Lions in the near future.
