Player Bio

Mohammad Amir Khan broke some major headlines in Pakistan when he was picked by Peshawar Zalmi for the 2020 PSL, at the age of 18, without playing any professional game. Often confused by Mohammad Amir, Amir Khan is also an express fast-bowler, however, he operates with his right hand.

Khan has a stiff front-on action that allows him exact bounce on any pitch, but it is extreme pace, which makes the speedster a hard opponent to face. Hailing from the Swat district of Pakistan, the pacer represents Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in domestic cricket.

Amir Khan has also represented Pakistan under-16 team and donned the national jersey during the Under-19 World Cup in 2020. The seamer had a remarkable WC Down Under where he picked seven in his three outings, including the best of 4 for 30 against the eventual champions, Bangladesh, in the league phase.

Post the World Cup, the pacer made his T20 debut during the PSL 2020 against Quetta Gladiators to bowl an economical spell of 1 for 24, including the wicket of Ahmed Shehzad. Later in the season, Amir Khan played three more games to bag two more wickets.

After his maiden PSL season, the speedster made his List-A debut for Khyber in the Pakistan Cup. Khan impressed various pundits and former cricketers when he starred with his 5 for 54 against Sindh XI.

The Peshawar-based franchise would be placing their bets on the upcoming pace-star for the second phase of the PSL 2021, where Amir Khan could be seen rubbing his shoulder with fellow pacers Wahab Riaz and Mohammad Irfan.
