Player Bio

Qasim Akram is a Pakistani cricketer who plays for Karachi Kings in the Pakistan Super League.

He made his T20 debut for Central Punjab in the 2020-21 National T20 Cup, and also represented Pakistan in the 2020 Under-19 World Cup.

Akram is a right-handed batsman who occasionally bowls right-arm off-spin. The youngster was shortlisted as one of Men’s Emerging Cricketers of the year for the 2020 PCB Awards.

A year later after the 2020 World Cup, Akram made his much awaited List-A debut for the Central Punjab team. He scored his maiden List-A century, an unbeaten 108 against Balochistan.

Ahead of the 2021 PSL season, Akram was drafted in the Karachi Kings squad, where he relished the opportunity to play with the likes of Mohammad Amir and Babar Azam, under the guidance of veteran, Wasim Akram.

Often touted as the future of Pakistan cricket, Akram has made a bright start to his domestic career. Still raw at the moment, the team management has to nurture the youngster, so that when the time comes, Akram is ready to conquer the international stage.
