Player Bio

Another wicketkeeper-batsman hailing from Trinidad and Tobago Islands, Leonardo Julien, is a by-product of the U-19 World Cup. He is an attacking left-handed batsman who loves to bat in the top order. Julien regionally plays for the West Indies Emerging Team, while he has represented Team Abu Dhabi in the 2021 edition of the Abu Dhabi T10.

The Trinidad & Tobago born first burst onto the scene when he made his List A debut for West Indies B in the 2018-19 Regional Super50 tournament in 2018. In the following season, he was named to the West Indies Emerging Team. In 2019, he was named in the West Indies U19 squad for the Tri-Nation tournament, when they hosted Sri Lanka and England at home.

Later in 2020, the keeper-batsman donned the Maroon jersey and kept wickets in the Under-19 World Cup. He scored 96 runs in the competition and took eight catches and one stumping. The performances in the pinnacle tournament were enough to grab eyeballs from the scouts all over the world.

In 2021, the Trinidad and Tobago born was booked by the home team for the Abu Dhabi T10 and made his league debut against Qalandars. Later that year, Julien was roped in by Trinidad and Tobago Knight Riders for CPL9. The CPL stint would be a great learning curve for the southpaw, as he will share the dressing room with Kieron Pollard, Sunil Narine, Colin Munro, Yasir Shah and many others.
