Player Bio

Joshua James is a budding fast-bowling all-rounder from Trinidad and Tobago. He was part of the West Indies Under-19 that played the 2020 World Cup in New Zealand. The all-rounder is yet to make his regional debut, but his prowess earned him a CPL contract by Jamaica Tallawahs in 2021.

James’ main weapon is his medium-pace bowling and captains often use him in the middle phase. While is equally potent with the ball as his lower-order batting is next to none.

In 2019, Cricket West Indies named the all-rounder in the West Indies squad for the Tri-Nation Tournament against England and Sri Lanka at home. Thomas played three Youth ODIs, before getting selected for the pinnacle tournament of 2020. The all-rounder played six games in the World Cup, where he scalped five wickets and scored 83 runs in the lower order.

The Caribbean-born player impressed many with his performances in the multi-nation tournament, resulting in being selected for the much-celebrated Caribbean Premier League.

The stint at Tallawahs would be a learning curve for the all-rounder, as he will spend time with Andre Russell, Carlos Braithwaite, Rovman Powell, Fidel Edwards and many more.
