Player Bio

A young upcoming all-rounder, Todd Murphy is a professional cricketer for the Sydney Sixers. The 21-year old arrived at the Australian domestic scene making his first-class debut for Victoria in April 2021. In his maiden Sheffield Shield match against South Australia, Murphy scored 34 runs and also picked up his maiden domestic wicket.

Murphy who was a part of the Australia U-19 squad was added to Sydney Sixer’s squad as an injury replacement for the veteran Steven O’Keefe. He made his Big Bash League debut in the Sydney derby against the Thunder but didn’t get an opportunity to showcase his skills as the Sixers won the match by 30 runs.

Still, with a decent number of matches left in the 2021-22 BBL season, Murphy would be looking to make a mark in franchise cricket to have a chance of wearing the Baggy Greens.
