Player Bio

A talented leg-spin bowler, Mohammad Ghazafar has been a consistent wicket-taker for the Hong Kong national team since his List A debut in April 2019. 

Prior to this, Ghazanfar featured for the Hong Kong U-19 team in 2011. One of his finest performances came in 2013, with figures of 8/14 against Thailand in 2013. 

The skilful spinner made his T20I debut in October 2019 against Nepal. Since then, he has been a permanent member of the national squad. 

In the 2019-2022 edition of the CWC Challenge League B, the wrist spinner bagged nine wickets in ten appearances at an economy of 4.67. In this pursuit, he took his career-best figures.

Soon, he featured in the 2022 edition of T20 World Cup Qualifier and scalped seven wickets in five matches at an economy of 5.88. 

Ghazanfar contributed with three wickets in the Asia Cup Qualifiers to help Hong Kong to be one of the six teams in the showpiece event.
