Player Bio

Rameen Shamim is a Pakistani women’s cricketer who made her international debut in 2019.

Born in Karachi, Sind, Shamim is a right-arm off-break bowler, who is known for her tossed up deliveries which has the ability to deceive any player around the world.

She made her T20I debut for Pakistan against South Africa Women in 2019. She impressed everyone with her variations in the match. Though she failed to pick up a wicket in the game, her overall gameplay caught the attention of many experts.

2019 was a fruitful year for Shamim, as she got an opportunity to represent her nation in the ODI format. Shamim was included in the Pakistan playing XI squad to face a strong England Women squad.

In June 2021, Shamim was made the captain of the Pakistan A squad for their ODI matches against the Windies.

A crafty spin bowler, Shamim’s impressive domestic performance tempted the selectors to try her out and the Karachi born didn’t disappoint the selectors.
